Our History

The National Association of Pain Medicine was founded in March 2020 by doctor-neurologist Avetis Avetisyan, candidate of medical sciences. It is officially a regional branch of the International Association for the Study of Pain.

Currently, the National Association of Pain Medicine has more than 5 dozen members, more than half of whom are also members of the International Association for the Study of Pain. Among them are: neurologists, neurosurgeons, surgeons, traumatologists-orthopedics, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, sports doctors, kinesiologists, manual therapists, physiotherapists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, neonatologists, psychologists, physiologists, biochemists, biophysicists, pharmacists, healthcare organizers, nurses.

The association consists of practicing doctors, candidates of medical and biological sciences, doctors of medical sciences, professors, professors of chairs, associate professors and professors, masters of business administration, heads of pain clinics, heads of scientific laboratories, heads of various departments, deputy directors of medical centers, polyclinics, directors, associations presidents, directors of research institutes.
